本作品は、私が造形を始めた初期の頃に制作した作品です。自分自身とても気に入っている作品だったため、この機会に販売させていただきます。
制作当時、顔に見られるシワや、その一つひとつが生み出す表情を造形することに強く惹かれていました。本作品では、そうしたシワの表現を一つのテーマとして、実験的に制作した作品です。
一見すると鳥のような姿をしていますが、どこかファンタジーの世界に存在する生き物のようにも見える姿を目指しました。顔はどこか愛嬌のある表情をしています。
背中には子供を宿しています。子供を守りながら厳しい冬を越そうとする鳥の姿をイメージし、親としてのたくましさや、春を待ち続ける生命の姿を表現しました。

Waiting for Spring
This work was created during the early period of my sculpting practice. It is a piece that I am particularly fond of, and I have decided to make it available for sale on this occasion.
At the time of its creation, I was deeply interested in sculpting the wrinkles found on the faces of elderly people and the expressions created by each individual wrinkle. This work was an experimental piece in which I explored wrinkles as one of the central themes of the sculpture.
At first glance, the figure resembles a bird, but I wanted it to also have the appearance of a creature that might exist in a fantasy world. Its face has a somewhat charming and endearing expression.
The figure carries a child on its back. I imagined a bird trying to survive the harsh winter while protecting its child, and sought to express the strength of a parent as well as the vitality of a living being waiting for the arrival of spring.
