本作品は、「悪夢」をテーマに制作した作品です。
私はこれまでにも、たびたび「ゆりかご」をテーマとした作品を制作してきました。私にとってゆりかごは、物事の善悪や、相反する二つのものの間で、気持ちや価値観が揺れ動く状態を表しています。
そうした心の揺れ動きそのものが、自分にとっての「悪夢」なのではないかと考え、ゆりかごというモチーフを作品に取り入れています。
また、ゆりかごには「子供の頃へ回帰したい」という願望も込めています。心が揺れ動く状態と、幼少期へ戻りたいという思いを重ね合わせて、この作品を制作しました。
本作品は実際に手に取って遊んでいただける作品です。ゆりかごの内部には重りを仕込んでいるため、手で触れることで揺らして楽しむことができます。

This work was created around the theme of “nightmares.”
I have often created works centered around the motif of a cradle. To me, a cradle represents a state in which our feelings and values shift between good and evil, or between two opposing sides.
I began incorporating the motif of the cradle into my work because I believe that this state of emotional fluctuation itself can be a form of “nightmare” for me.
The cradle also embodies a desire to return to childhood. By combining the feeling of emotional instability with the desire to return to childhood, I created this work.
This work is designed to be held and played with. A weight is built into the cradle, allowing it to rock when touched.
I hope you will take the work in your hands and enjoy gently rocking the cradle.
